Badminton can be played at any age and is also suitable for children who are not the most athletic. Our sport is safe, not too strenuous for children and is great fun for most. But you can do even more than that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide the necessary equipment &#8211; indoor sports shoes, sports clothing, badminton rackets, sports bag.<\/li>\n<li>Bring your child to training if necessary and also attend your child&#8217;s competitions or team games.<\/li>\n<li>Show your child that you are proud of their achievements.<\/li>\n<li>Encourage your child to take part in training regularly and to dare to take part in competitions.<\/li>\n<li>Take part in club events with your child when we offer them.<\/li>\n<li>Attend badminton events together with your child as a spectator, e.g. the matches of our first team or international competitions or badminton Bundesliga matches if they take place nearby.<\/li>\n<li>Be a role model and show your child how important it is to do sports regularly.<\/li>\n<li>Feel free to contribute your ideas and talents to the BVF in other ways &#8211; this could be anything from baking cakes to photography or bookkeeping. Just talk to us about it: We are interested in any form of support. We have compiled all the information <a href=\"https:\/\/bvfrankfurt.de\/en\/join-us\/become-a-member\/\">HERE<\/a>.<\/p><p>We are very happy when parents accompany their children to their first training sessions so that they can get to know us and we can get to know them. This applies not only to younger children, but also to parents of teenagers who are new to the club. After the first training sessions, parents no longer need to be present during training &#8211; but are of course welcome to drop in at any time and keep in touch with our coaches.<\/p><p>We recommend that everyone trains at least twice a week in order to make noticeable progress. Less is possible, but does not make sense. However, we encourage everyone &#8211; after a few months of training &#8211; to try competitions. This is NOT about winning. None of our coaches expect that from beginners.<\/p>\n<p>The main purpose of the first competitions is to gain experience. To realize what you still need to practice. Junior players play in different age groups from U9 to U19 and at different levels of play from E-ranking (= beginners) to A-ranking (= the best players in Germany).<\/li>\n<li>In the team round, 4 to 6 children form a team (depending on the age group). A team always consists of a mixture of girls and boys. Over the course of a season, this team competes in a league against teams from other clubs. Depending on the age group, between 6 and 8 matches (singles\/doubles\/mixed doubles) are played. The team that has won the most matches at the end of the day is the winner. Over the course of the season, each team plays every other team in the league once at home and once away. Points are awarded for each game won, from which a table is then drawn up (similar to the German Soccer League).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is possible to enter tournament play at any time during the year. Our coaches regularly discuss which children they notice particularly positively in regular training and competitions. At the end of each year, each child can apply for participation in our performance groups for the following year &#8211; and the coaches can also nominate children for this.
