  • If you decide to become a member of BV Frankfurt 06 after completing the course, we will waive the €30 admission fee.

Your introduction to badminton

Looking to learn badminton from scratch and have little to no training experience? Then our Badminton Kickstarter course for adults is just right for you!

In a small group of no more than 12 participants, our experienced coaches will guide you step by step through all the important basics of badminton.

You will learn basic footwork and stroke techniques, learn the most important rules, and be gently introduced to the game — in a clear, structured way and with lots of fun on the court.

Perfect for anyone who wants to discover badminton and is looking for a safe introduction to the sport.

Frequently asked questions about the course

I have already played badminton regularly at a sports center or in a group without instruction. Is the course suitable for me? Ich habe schon regelmäßig Badminton im Fitness-Center oder in einer Gruppe ohne Anleitung gespielt. Ist der Kurs für mich geeignet?

Definitely yes! If you have never trained under the professional guidance of a badminton coach, our Kickstarter course is just right for you. Our coaches will show you the correct badminton techniques, thus preventing the risk of injury that always exists when you “just swing” the racket regularly.

The course is aimed at anyone aged 18 and over – women and men, with no upper age limit. Minors are unfortunately not allowed to participate. Interested children and teenagers with no previous badminton experience are welcome to attend a trial training session in our age-appropriate groups at any time, subject to prior registration.

Yes, you can only participate in our Kickstarter course after registering in advance and paying the course fees. The number of participants is limited.
The course is held in German, therefore basic knowledge of German is recommended so that you can follow our coaches’ instructions. In any case, a knowledge of English is necessary, so that a basic communication is possible.
No, you can participate in the Kickstarter course without being a club member. However, if you want to continue training at BV Frankfurt after the course, you must become a member. As a small bonus, we waive the admission fees for all course participants.
No, unfortunately that is not possible. Since the course units build on each other, you will otherwise miss out on important prior knowledge. Feel free to contact us and we will let you know when the next course starts.
You need comfortable sportswear and indoor sports shoes for training. Important: The shoes must not have been worn outside. If necessary, you can borrow a badminton racket from us for the duration of the course, but you can of course also use your own racket. Shuttlecocks are provided. You should also bring a drink and a towel. If you wish, you can shower on site after training.
Yes, if you are still a beginner, you can also participate in the Kickstarter course as a member. Members pay a reduced course fee.
If you are unsure whether the course is suitable for you, simply speak to one of our coaches. If you are unsure whether the course is suitable for you, simply speak to one of our coaches.
Please let the coach know as early as possible if you are unable to attend. It is not possible to refund partial amounts for course dates that you have not attended, as your place on the course is reserved for you.
If a course date is canceled by us, it will be rescheduled. Usually, the date will be in the week after the last day of the course. We’ll let you know the details in good time if needed.
Payment of the course fee is only possible by direct debit. The amount will be debited from your account before the course starts, as soon as we have confirmed your participation.

We know that plans can sometimes change. Cancellation is free of charge up to 6 weeks before the start of the course.
If you cancel up to 4 weeks in advance, we will refund 50% of the course fee, and up to 2 weeks in advance, 25% of the course fee.
Unfortunately, no refunds can be made for later cancellations or no-shows, as your place on the course is reserved for you.
