Help us to make BVF even better

BV Frankfurt is supported (almost) exclusively by volunteers who work for the club on a voluntary basis alongside their main job. This applies to the board, the coaches and the various organizational teams.

To ensure that nobody is overburdened by these tasks in their free time, it is important that as many people as possible support our association. This can be anything from 5 minutes a week to 10 hours a month, from taking over your own training group to organizing the Christmas party, from tasks in the sports hall to pure desk jobs. There is something for everyone.

We welcome any offer of help!

In most cases, you don’t need any previous experience – but an interest in and enjoyment of the work are important. And, of course, reliability.

We are currently looking for members, parents, and other volunteers for the following areas:

Coach

As a coach, you will be responsible for leading one of our children's, youth or adult training groups on a regular basis.

Of course, you should have some knowledge of badminton, but a coaching license is not compulsory. For the best possible communication with our players, you should have a good knowledge of the German language. If you are interested, the club will finance your coaching training by arrangement. You will also receive an appropriate expense allowance.

Time commitment: 90 to 120 minutes per week outside the vacations plus preparation time

Assistant coach (“Trassi”)

As an assistant coach, you will support one of our coaches in running the training sessions. You will take over smaller sub-groups within the group and carry out exercises with them according to the coach's instructions.

Of course, you should have some knowledge of badminton, but a Trassi or Junior Trainer license is not mandatory. For the best possible communication with our players, you should have a good knowledge of the German language. However, if you are interested, the club will finance your training by arrangement. You will also receive an appropriate expense allowance.

Time commitment: 90 to 120 minutes per week outside the vacations

Website editor

As website editor, you maintain the texts and photos on our club website. This mainly includes regularly publishing information in the news section, but also making changes to the static pages as required. If you are interested, you can also write your own articles for the website.

You don't need any previous knowledge. We will explain everything you need to know. Important: Good knowledge of German language is required.

Time required: during the season approx. 15-30 minutes per week/outside the season less

Website administrator

As a website administrator, you are mainly active in the “engine room” of the club website. You regularly check whether everything is still working technically, carry out updates if necessary or create new users.

Previous knowledge of website administration is important to us here, but you don't have to be a professional.

Time required: fluctuating, on average less than 1 hour per month, occasionally more.

Photographer/videographer

As a photographer or videographer, you are regularly on site at competitions and club events and capture the best moments with your camera in pictures or video. You will then promptly provide our editors with the edited image material.

Previous knowledge of photography and/or videography is an advantage, but not a must. However, an eye for good pictures or videos is a must. You should have your own camera.

Time required: flexible, depending on the number of events attended

Reporter

As a reporter, you are regularly on site at competitions and club events and write exciting news texts for our club website and our social media channels afterwards. If you can't be there yourself, you will speak to other members who will then provide you with the necessary information for your texts. You then send the texts to our editors promptly for publication.

You don't need any previous experience, but you should enjoy writing texts and gathering information. Important: Good knowledge of German language is required.

Time required: flexible, depending on the number of events you report on

Bookkeeping

As an accountant, you will support our Head of Finance with the bookings in our online club management tool from your desk at home.

Previous knowledge of bookkeeping is an advantage, but not a must. We will explain everything you need to know if required. However, reliability and accuracy at work are particularly important for this job. You should also be good with numbers.

Time required: 30 minutes per week, sometimes a little more, sometimes less

Parents' spokesperson

As the parents' representative, you are the first point of contact for the parents of our underage members. You act as an intermediary between the parents, the coaches, the board and everyone else involved in the club. If required, you will take part in meetings relating to your area of responsibility.

You do not need any previous experience. However, sociability and enjoyment of working with people are important. As not all of the parents speak English you should have good knowledge of German language.

Time required: variable, on average less than 15 minutes per week. Occasionally more.

Sponsoring coordinator

As a sponsorship coordinator, you will contact small and large companies by post, e-mail and in person, introduce the BVF to them and negotiate sponsorship packages with them.

You don't need any previous experience. The important thing is that you are sociable and have the negotiating skills to get the best deal for the club. Good knowledge of German language is not required, but would be very helpful.

Time required: variable
