11 good reasons why you should become a member of BV Frankfurt
Beginners, advanced players, and experts are welcome.
Whether you already have a lot of badminton experience or none at all, everyone is welcome here.
Players of all ages welcome
We welcome players of all ages. You can start from around 6 years old - with no upper limits. Women and girls are particularly welcome.
Entry possible every month
You can join us (almost) at any time. We offer beginners the opportunity to join a trial training session once a month, advanced students can also start in between by arrangement.
Guided training for everyone
Our training sessions all take place under supervision. This guarantees that all members improve over time. By learning the correct badminton technique, we prevent injuries.
Licensed coaches
It is important to us that our coaches are well trained and licensed. We have A-trainers, B-trainers, C-trainers, physiotherapists, sports scientists, junior trainers and assistant trainers leading the various sessions.
Talent development on & off the court
We promote talent - regardless of whether it's the sports stars who might one day become German champions, the didactic gurus who coach others to peak performance or the organizational geniuses who keep the club running.
Shuttlecocks for every training session & official competitions
Your membership fee already includes all costs for training & official competitions. We provide the shuttlecocks and pay the entry fees.
Joint events outside the sports hall too
A club is more than just doing sport together. Our events team regularly organizes small and large activities: from canoeing to public viewing. Join in and get to know the other members even better.
Club app for easy communication with other members
With us, you don't have to give a member your private cell phone number or email address to communicate with them. In our club app, you can easily contact other members and take part in 1:1 and group chats.
Ideas always welcome
We are always happy to receive new impulses and ideas. If you want to change or improve something, talk to the board or the coaches.
Badminton is the best sport in the world!
We don't have to say anything about that, do we?
Your first training session with us - FAQ
Do I have to register before the trial training?
Yes, please register with our administration before your first training session. They know exactly when and where trial training sessions are possible and how much space is still available in the different training groups.
What information do you need from me before the trial session?
Please let our administration know with your request how much badminton experience you already have and how old you are (if you don’t want to tell us exactly, please tell us whether you are interested in children’s, youth or adult training). If you are interested in training in a particular hall, please let us know.
How often can I take part in the trial training?
You can take part in a free trial training session up to 3 times before you have to enrol.
What do I need to bring to the first training session?
Who is my contact person in the hall?
The best person to talk to in the hall is the coach present. He can show you where you can change and tell you how to get started. If, exceptionally, there is no coach present, simply speak to one of the members. They will be happy to help you and integrate you into the group.
When should I be there for the trial training?
Please be in the hall at least 5 minutes before training starts. Then you can change your clothes in peace and clarify any final questions. As some of our training halls are unfortunately a little hidden on the school grounds, please allow a little more time for your first arrival.
How does training generally work?
Each coach organizes the start of training differently. Most start with a joint warm-up program – this can include a variety of general sports exercises: from running to coordinative games to strengthening exercises. However, the members may also warm up on their own. It is best to clarify this directly on site.
Then it’s time to warm up with rackets and shuttlecocks before the actual practice part begins. A wide variety of striking and running techniques are practiced here, as well as tactics and other badminton-specific skills.
Finally, there is usually match training or free play. Here, the members play singles, doubles or mixed against each other – sometimes more, sometimes less seriously, but always with fun. And of course there is also time for those who just want to sit on the bench and have a chat.
I liked it. How do I enroll?
You can find our membership application form here on the website. There are 3 options:
- Online form: You can fill out our online form directly here on the site and send it off. That’s it.
- You fill out the PDF form completely (important: don’t forget to sign it!) and send it to our administration by e-mail. Done.
- You fill out the PDF form completely, print it out and hand it in to the trainer at the next training session. Done.
Please note that we definitely need a SEPA direct debit mandate for the membership fees from you and also an e-mail address for the confirmation of your membership. More Information HERE.
I have submitted an application. What happens next?
We will forward your registration to our membership administration. You will receive a confirmation e-mail from them with further information. If you sign up right at the beginning or in the middle of the month, we’ll give you the first few weeks for free! We won’t debit the first membership fee from your account until the following month.
I am a member. Which training sessions can I attend?
Your membership includes all training sessions that are suitable for your age group and skill level. Whether you train once or several times a week, always at the same time or at different times – it’s up to you. We recommend that you train at least twice a week in order to make noticeable progress.
Important: Our talent groups may only be attended by invited members. If you are interested, speak to a coach to see if they can make a recommendation for you.
